i've written an add-on for firefox which does essentially the same but is more flexible and is being invoked in an earlier stage of the page load, so the old title won't appear for such a long time ...

there is no real reason for bidding when you use jbidwatcher consequently. but if you should feel the urge to bid anyway there ist a second bidding-form at the end of every item-page which remains unchanged by this script. or you might try that:
