Now it's much easier to get EXIF info on many images posted in vBulletin forums, even when the posted image itself doesn't contain the EXIF info.

This script adds a small and clickable corner to embedded images in vBulletin postings. When you click on that corner, it will show you the EXIF information for that image in a new window. The corner looks like this (see upper left corner of the golf photo):

Because many photo sharing services do not include EXIF data on the posted sizes, this script does not typically get the EXIF information from the posted photo itself. Instead, it looks at the photo service that the image is coming from and constructs a URL to the EXIF display at that photo service. In this manner, you can see EXIF info on Flickr, Smugmug and pBase postings, even when the posted photo doesn't contain EXIF info.

Currently, the script contains automatic support for the following vBulletin services:

http://www.dgrin.com
http://www.nikoncafe.com

But, you can enable it for any additional vBulletin service you want by just adding that URL in your Manage Scripts dialog in GreaseMonkey. Over time, I may make the built-in list longer.

The script knows about the following photo hosting services:

Smugmug
Flickr
pBase

Zenfolio
PhotoBucket
ImageEvent
ImageShack

The script will also identify custom domains used at Smugmug.

For images from the first category of Smugmug, Flickr and pBase, the script will open a new window at the actual photo service and show you the EXIF display that the photo service offers.

For the other services, the posted images usually contain the EXIF info and the services don't appear to have an easy way to show the EXIF info so the script will take you to a generic web page that shows you EXIF info for a particular image URL.
