- 10/15/08 10:30pm (GMT -6): Just a small fix. Added a "visited" style to the article links that highlights the background. The script already did this when you clicked a link, but if you came back to the site the style was not applied, now it is.
- 09/02/08 5:58am (GMT -6): Updated the script so that the c02stats button no longer breaks HN OnePage. The fix proved slightly more elusive than I had anticipated, and I'm not sure I have come up with the most elegant solution. I encourage you to take a look at the code, and see if you can find a better way to handle the problem, then either post it here or email me. I also made it so that the comments and article view ports automatically size themselves to your screen.
- 09/1/08 11:12pm (GMT -6): The new co2stats button on site breaks HN OnePage, I will have a fix for this by 9/2/08 12:00pm GMT -6. Sorry for the inconvenience.
- 07/25/08 1:00am (GMT -6): The comments bug has been fixed. If you installed this script before July 25th, re-install it, otherwise the comments panel may not work properly.
- 09/02/08: In the next couple of weeks, I would like to add some more features to OnePage and maybe polish it up a little bit. It will mainly consist of UI enhancements, some of which were discussed on the HN page at http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=255519. After using the script for about a month, I am interested to hear what features/changes you would like to see. If you have a suggestion, please leave it as a comment on this page.
Hacker News OnePage allows you to view the news articles in a left column, while viewing the article and/or comments on the right. You never have to leave the Hacker News page to view any of the comments or articles. OnePage also highlights the articles or comments that you click on, allowing you to easily see what you have read.
The OnePage script is optimized for viewing on a 1280x1024 screen when the browser is maximized. Obviously this is not the best configuration for everyone. You can easily modify the size of the viewing panes in the script itself (the size defaults are on the first line), allowing you to tweak it to your viewing preference.
