HackHUD is a Greasemonkey to enhance mainstream news sites (such as BBC News) with a layer of grassroots community content - from bloggers, photographers, and the like. The idea is to propagate the news and views from the streets, alongside mainstream media.

The script takes advantage of Yahoo Pipes, YUI and Yahoo Term Extraction. It feeds back content from Flickr, Technorati and Newsvine.

Originally developed at Hack Day London, the script won a BBC prize for the "Hack that should have been on the BBC site yesterday".
