Blogger del.icio.us publishing and post categorizing helper
— Last update Nov 19, 2005 — Installed 6,796 times.| Script Summary: Adds a tags field for Blogger posts and helps keep your notes in sync with your Del.icio.us categories according to the tags you used. Also, if you go to http://pingoat.com/ and/or http://pingomatic.com/, http://pinger.blogflux.com/, http://nyligen.se/pinga.php or http://svensk.lemonad.org/pingman.php after installing this script, and point either ping tool to your blog, you will get additional links here from your publish pages. Note that you need to do this for every blog you want links to separately (figuring you might want to change options for where to ping posts for each blog). Clicking these additional icons will ping the appropriate site, flashing the icon while doing so. If the flashing stops on a semi-transparent button, the pinging failed, if it stops in a solid state, it was successful. The URLs of the "Details..." view also get made into clickable URLs. Some of this functionality is also made available via Blogger's BlogThis! page. Version 1.12. |

This page is mostly a brief round-up of what the script does; a more detailed tutorial on how to use the script is available at the "script homepage":http://ecmanaut.blogspot.com/2005/11/blogger-publish-ping-an
h3. Tagging
This script adds tagging support to Blogger blogs. It features a Tags: field on the post edit page and invisibly appends a chunk of tags to the posts you tag, which ends up a
list you can "style using CSS":http://ecmanaut.blogspot.com/2005/12/styling-your-blog-post-tags-
h3. Publishing
On publishing a page, you see the normal Blogger publish animation, and then get a slightly changed view. First, there is a link to Del.icio.us, which, when clicked, will let you save your tags and related data on the post at Del.icio.us. Doing this is also good for "adding tag navigation to your blog":http://ghill.customer.netspace.net.au/freshtags/
h3. Pinging
If you use any publish ping tools such as the Blogflux pinger, Pingomatic, Pingoat, Nyligen or Svensk lemonad to notify blog aggregators of your new post, you will also get pinger icons for those sites that make pinging them one click away from the publish page.
Again, for any queries or feature requests, I warmly recommend a read and perhaps post at the "script homepage":http://ecmanaut.blogspot.com/2005/11/blogger-publish-ping-an
