UnFuck Facebook

This script is for anyone who is sick and tired of having to navigate through all the useless apps and spam on Facebook.

Purpose

This script is for anyone who is sick and tired of having to navigate through all the bullshit and spam that has been filling Facebook lately. The purpose of this script is to remove any mention of a third party app on all of Facebook. This script will greatly change your facebook experience. This script truly unfucks Facebook.

Make sure to remove all third party apps and then go here and select the "Do not share any information about me through the Facebook API" radio box. Click the save button and you will never have to deal with another application invitation.

Stylish

My newest update replaced all my javascript with css. This means you can unfuck Facebook using the stylish extension http://userstyles.org/styles/4205. In the future, however, I will be adding features that require javascript (see to-do list).

I'm with #54 on this one....I absolutely love this script, does everything perfectly but the Groups pages. I don't remember it always being like this, so I imagine Facebook changed something.

This script really do wonders to Facebook! It does however clean up group pages a bit too much. I see no reason to remove "Events", "Officers", "Group Type", "Admins", "Members", "Information" and "Discussion Board".

Bloody lovely. Works better than expected. It does clash with some colour changing and ssl scripts. Still pretty good though.

Hey, it still doesn't work with the May 10 update.
Here is what is wrong. Simple fix:

Under "Manage User Scripts"
"Included Pages" must be:
=======================
http://*.facebook.com/*
https://*.facebook.com/*

Right now you have it as:
=========================
http://facebook.com/*
https://facebook.com/*
... and it does not get activated at all !

Yeah the probably with testing this script is that apparently none of my friends use apps often enough for them to appear in the news feed.

Is it just me, or is this script not currently working correctly? No doubt Facebook have made changes.

I am currently able to see all the annoying "Moron Purchased Moron for $X" and all that sort of pointless crap. Unfucker used to get rid of it.

I have the latest version (May 3), latest GM and FF3b5

I was aware of that problem with the search box and that's why I removed the code that caused it in my latest update a few days ago. Reinstall the script and let me know if that fixes it. As for the chat-box feature, I am still on the fence about this. First of all its not a third-party app and its better than messages when talking with friends. But I agree about the floating bar looking unattractive. What I think I might do is make it only work in a separate window. Thanks for reminding me to get rid of the "Show More Profile Boxes" link. I will do that immediately. Your right about the birthday. I will make sure the feature gets the first half of the birthday's from the next month when you are half way through the current month. That should give you enough warning.

The "Do not share any information..." radio is just a suggestion that gets rid of app invites. You could also use http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/12393 to do this.

I hope when you say "Replace upcoming birthdays with all for this month" you mean the next 30 days? This would be much more useful, or else you'd get no notice for someone's birthday on the first day of the next month. Perhaps an custom variable to choose the number of days in advance that we get birthdays for? Cheers

This is sweet. And before i start ranting, Thanks a lot!

1 Problem:
+ The search box in the top-left is messed up somehow, such that i'm only allowed to type a single character before it hides itself...
(Yes i've disabled adblock and all other GM scripts... I'm wondering whether it has something to do with you removing the "more |>" link halfway down the applications list..?)

2 Suggestions:
+ The new "Chat Box" thing at the bottom is a bit sh*te to say the least - pestering me with a floaty little annoying bar all the time :) There are a few "Chat-Killer" scripts out there [1][2], but it'd be nice to have it all in one script.

+ Get rid of the "Show More Profile Boxes" link. It just looks messy now, and after your awesome handywork, does nothing :)

Amen! UNFUCK facebook! Applications suck. I have sent soooooo many requests to let me block them, block notifications of friends installing on the news feed, block invites... nothing! GAY! Thanks man!
